The first seeds of the Demano brand were sown on the streets of Barcelona when the creators-to-be chanced upon a banner. Seeing that the banner material was waterproof, resistant and flexible, they thought, why not recycle it and turn it into a bag?
The Demano brand was subsequently created in 1999, with the purpose of re-using discarded advertising material from event, exhibition and festival banners. In 2000, Demano signed agreements with several cultural institutions and organisations for exclusive use of their banners.
Today, Demano has added other recycled materials sourced from around town, such as kitesurf sails, combining environmental awareness and design into an urban cool line-up of bags and accessories.
